MA v. ENTWISTLE (2008)

Opening Statements

British national Neil Entwistle was accused of killing his wife Rachel and the couple’s 9-month-old daughter in 2006 before flying to England a day after the murders. Prosecutors claimed Entwistle had suffered major financial problems and was dissatisfied in the marriage. The defense contended Entwistle had returned home from errands on Jan. 20, 2006, and found his wife and daughter Lillian Rose dead from gunshot wounds with a .22-caliber pistol lying on the bed next to the bodies. His lawyers said Entwistle believed that his wife of less than three years had killed their baby and then herself.
