On July 19, Judge Steven Boyce reversed his prior ruling after learning that Hoben is the biological sister of Tammy’s mother, Phyllis Douglas, who passed away in June.

The judge approved Hoban’s latest request to join the ranks of the following family members approved in a previous order:

  • Colby Ryan, Lori’s oldest child and victims’ brother
  • Summer Shiflet, Lori’s sister and Tylee’s representative
  • Kay Woodcock, JJ’s grandmother and representative

Lori’s uncle Rex Conner, Larry Woodcock and Brandon Boudreaux were also told they would not be allowed to speak at Lori’s sentencing.
