Hunter Stanfield is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Chase Stanfield, 39, and Gail Stanfield, 50, according to the Gila County Sheriff’s Office.

On Oct. 27, authorities responded to a 911 call in north Payson, where they found the couple deceased with multiple gunshot wounds, stated an initial press release. Payson is almost 90 miles northeast of Phoenix.

Gila County Sheriff’s Detective Jamie Garrett told Fox News Digital the teen was arrested last week after an hour-long interview.

Garret said, “We did interview Hunter on Tuesday for (approximately) an hour and after that interview is when he was arrested for the crimes committed against his parents.”
