The Tale of Two Trials – McMichaels et al and Rittenhouse Murder Trials, Pt. 1

Two of the biggest trials in the country are happening simultaneously, and Court TV is covering both gavel-to-gavel. First up, Court TV’s Ted Rowlands joins host Vinnie Politan to dig into the opening statements in the Kyle Rittenhouse murder trial in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The prosecution says Rittenhouse went to Kenosha looking for conflict. His defense says the conflict sought him out and he was only defending himself. Were they able to sway the jury one way or another?

Then we’ll shift to South Georgia where jury selection continues in The Killing of Ahmaud Arbery murder trial. Why is the process taking so long and will a defense argument that a jury of the defendant’s peers hold water? We’ll dig into it and Vinnie’s theory of how jury selection is like a bowl of Pasta Fagioli.
