(Court TV) – Attorney Steve Bertolino, who represents the Laundrie family in the civil lawsuit regarding Gabby Petito’s death, has provided Court TV Legal Correspondent Chanley Painter with a copy of Brian Laundrie’s notebook.
According to a press release, Bertolino and Petito family attorney Patrick Reilly met with the FBI in Tampa, Florida in order to sort through and take possession of the personal items that belonged to Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie in a previously agreed upon exchange which enabled both families to receive what belonged to their respective children.

As part of this return of property in FBI custody, Bertolino was given Brian Laundrie’s notebook. Bertolino has opted to share that notebook with the public — it contains the note that the FBI alluded to when they said on January 21, 2022 that Brian claimed responsibility for Gabby’s death.
