In South Carolina v. Alex Murdaugh, the court initially ordered Court TV to remove its equipment from their projection system, known as the ELMO. Live broadcast feeds did not include contemporaneous displays of exhibits shown to the jury, including all photos and bodycam footage. Access to the exhibits was being provided to the media, then released at the end of each day.

Midway through the trial, the court reached an agreement to allow unsealed evidence to be shown during the live legal proceedings.
